NanoBanana2 Character Design Three-View Tutorial — Copy-Paste Prompts Ready to Use
Faces, outfits, or proportions drifting between panels? This guide uses NanoBanana2 image-to-image with ready-made localized prompt templates you can copy and paste — lock your character look first, then expand into professional three-view sheets, expression grids, and pose boards without writing prompts from scratch.
Step 1 — Upload reference & recolor the outfit
Start with a full-body front reference (example: black-and-gold dress). In NanoBanana2, choose image-to-image, upload the reference, paste the Step 1 prompt below, and generate.
Change the outfit and veil colors in the reference image to: primary color vivid red, secondary color white-gold (belt and hair accessories). Do not cover too much of the hairstyle/hair accessories with the veil on top — reveal more of the hair styling and adornments. Keep everything else identical to the reference.
Step 2 — Three character-sheet templates (image-to-image)
For all three templates below, run image-to-image again with your front full-body reference (the Step 1 recolor result works well). Each template produces a different layout.
Use the same reference across templates so face, body type, and costume stay consistent.
Template 1 — Vertical 3:4 (three views + 6 expressions + 4 poses)
One tall sheet: top row — standard front/side/back three-views; middle row — six facial expressions (joy, grief, pain, worry, shock, neutral); bottom row — four full-body poses (walking, running, standing with veil, sitting). Aspect ratio 3:4.
Based on the reference image art style, generate a character design sheet that fully replicates the reference character's face, skin tone, hair texture, body type, and outfit. Three core sections: Row 1 — standard three-view turnaround: front, side, and back full-body standing poses with consistent proportions; clothing folds match the reference; pure white background with subtle physical shadows. Row 2 — expression module: six close-up facial emotions from the reference character (joy, grief, pain, worry, surprise, neutral); realistically capture facial muscle movement, skin texture, and pore detail. Row 3 — dynamic poses: four full-body actions of the reference character (walking/running/standing while lifting the veil/sitting cross-legged); outfit style and accessories must stay unified; emphasize fabric drape and muscle tension for a candid, lifelike feel. Additional constraints: neutral global lighting, clean multi-panel layout; do not return text, images only. Aspect ratio 3:4.

Template 2 — Horizontal 16:9 (face close-up + three views)
Widescreen layout: large face front close-up on the left; full-body front, side, and back on the right, white background. Example uses a cyberpunk male character. Aspect ratio 16:9.
Based on the reference image, generate a standard character design three-view sheet: front view shows the full front of the character with emphasis on body proportions and costume detail; side view shows the side silhouette with smooth lines and strong three-dimensionality; back view shows the rear design, highlighting back details and overall harmony. Add a front-facing facial close-up on the far left, focusing on facial features and expression with refined lighting for facial depth. Change the background to pure white; keep the overall art style and color palette consistent with the reference. Aspect ratio 16:9.

Template 3 — Horizontal 16:9 (9-grid expressions + three views)
Anime-style sheet: 9-grid facial expressions on the left; standard front/side/back three-views on the right. Face, hair, outfit, and colors match the reference. Aspect ratio 16:9.
Based on the reference image, generate a standard full-body three-view sheet including front, side, and back views with precisely unified proportions. On the left, a 9-grid of multiple expressions: playful smile, calm, somber, worried, crying, pouting, tearful smile, angry, shocked, and similar emotions. Facial features, hairstyle, outfit, accessories, colors, and art style must fully match the reference with high consistency and no distortion. Pure white background, refined details, clean structure, professional character design sheet. Aspect ratio 16:9.
